So far, we’ve only used regular toilet paper but since we only dump on non-flushing toilets, the use of regular toilet paper isn’t an issue. RV toilet papers also dissolve however the regular ones don’t. First, you have to know that the porta-pak breaks down the black tank content into a liquid which makes it easier to dump and clean. I will not be purchasing the product again.Cleaning the black water tank is probably the hardest part about van-living though, surprisingly, it doesn’t gross me out completely. I then purchased another one, used it once and the same plastic piece that holds the hose cracked again. The plastic piece that holds the hose cracked. I purchased a Solar Shower (5gal) water bag several years ago. A nice stream of water flows through the same. Simply pull the "sprinkler" at the end of the hose and this is what controls the water flow. Some of the things I love about this particular product include it only takes about three hours of exposed sunlight to heat the water up to 120 degrees farenheight. I have used a towel in the past, but now this product solves many foot issues and I have also found it is handy for short hikes… Full reviewĮxcellent product! Finally got to use this most excellent outdoor shower here at the Lamping Homestead Recreational Area. For that fact they don't have to get dirty at my tent when I am changing. Who needs this? I think it is great that someone finally solves the problem of dirty showers at campgrounds or getting feet wet with a heavy dew! I purchased when I found on sale at local outdoor store and already love it! Awesome! My feet no longer have to get nasty when showering at a campground. In my experience, the cord that is provided is not good for the job… Full review I don't know if I didn't let it sit in the sun enough or what, but I never had it be a warm shower. The control valve is nice, and can be set at different speeds. I don't feel rushed when using it, the water comes out at a good pace, but doesn't overdo it. It may not seem like much, but this shower goes further than you would think. This is a light, compact item to throw in the pack for the trail. As a "washing machine" I just add water, some mild detergent, close the bag up and shake it for a few… Full review As a dry bag it performs just as a dry bag should, it keeps dry stuff dry when hiking in wet weather, or keeps wet clothing from making other stuff in my pack wet. As pointed out in another review the supplied cord isn't very good, so I replaced it with some extra guy line from Hilleberg I had lying about. I use it as dry bag, a shower and a "washing machine". I've had this shower for about the last… Full reviewįor me this is a multi purpose item. Just keep in mind that if you want a HOT shower, you're going to need to heat some water on your stove and add it to what's already warm in the bag. If there are times in the backcountry when nothing but a warm shower will make you feel better, get the Sea to Summit Pocket Shower. If you're thru-hiking, get clean in lakes and streams. Best if you're hiking to a base camp and plan on spending a couple of nights. Light and compact enough for backpacking. Its 3.5-gallon capacity meant that I had a lot of water left… Full review After I brought it camping with me, I realized it had many more uses than I initially anticipated. I bought a RinseKit PRO portable shower for bathing on the campsite. It's perfect for showering at the campsite, portable hand washing, portable dishwashing, and much more. The RinseKit PRO is a 3.5 gallon battery-pressurized portable shower that offers superior pressurization, capacity, and portability compared to other portable showers.
